End user license agreement (EULA)

The following terms, the End User License Agreement, govern the use license between you and the author.
By using uLinky BackupDrive, you agree to the terms of this license agreement.
If you do not agree, you may not install or otherwise use the software.

1. Use of the program

This program is free for private individuals, public institutions, associations and businesses.
A warranty for the functionality of the program and the correctness of the results, as well as a liability for damage to the hardware or software of the user is not accepted.


2. Dissemination of the program

The program may be redistributed without restriction, provided that the original files provided by the author remain unchanged.
The use or utilization as a component of commercial products is prohibited without the consent of the author.


3. Support service

The author and uLinky guarantee no support for the program. If you send error reports, feedback, messages or other data to uLinky, the author is free to answer or return them.


4. Data protection

The BackupDrive software will not send personal information except for the cases below.
To serve you with the latest updates, BackupDrive connects to our servers. This function transfers and processes certain system data such as operating system, language, Java version and software version as well as the IP address and the access time in order to provide you with the corresponding updates.
Our update system only uses encrypted connections and does not pass data on to third parties. If you do not need updates or you want to download and install updates manually, you can disable the update feature in the BackupDrive settings.

In the case of software errors or crashes, the program displays a so-called crash report. You can decide whether the crash report should be sent to uLinky and saved in order to improve our product and fix the bug in future releases.
When you send a support request to uLinky, we store data about this specific request, such as: For example, the files you add to the attachment, your email address, and the description text to provide you with support and to improve the BackupDrive software.

Of course you have the right to information and deletion of your data, which are stored at uLinky. The recall can be done by sending an e-mail to info@ulinky.org.


5. Warranty and Limitation of Liability

This software and related files are offered 'as is'. There is no guarantee.
Since this software is used in different hardware and software environment, no guarantee for the usability is given.
Experienced users of new software first test this program on sample data before they rely on it completely. The user assumes the risk of using the software.
The author disclaims any warranties or responsibility for any data loss or other damage that may be incurred while using the program.
You use the program at your own risk! The author is also not liable for slight negligence or program errors.


6. Final agreement

The installation and use of BackupDrive implies acceptance of the license terms.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany.
