This is a typical designer's task: create an image of a product box, 3D text, iPhone/iPad app, Nexus, book, business card and other printed materials, Blu-Ray, DVD, CD box (etc.) for a web site, electronic presentation or a paper publication. In the past, this was done by photographers. It's a long and expensive process. Photographic images aren't perfect, have resolution limitations and you can hardly edit them. Today, designers normally use 3D-rendering software. Synthetic images are perfectly clean. You can use various visual effects and transparent backgrounds to smoothly embed your graphics into existing designs. Additionally, you don't have to set up another photo session if you need to change something in your images.

There's still a downside, though. You need to own an expensive 3-rendering package and you need to be familiar with it. It takes time to create even a simple model.

Your best option is to use a specialized 3-rendering application that does not require advanced knowledge in 3D design and allows you to create a professional graphic in minutes.

Unfortunately, most of the available programs of this kind are rather limited. They render a simple texturized parallelepiped. They use the 3D-rendering features of your video card that are normally intended for games and not for professional designs.

Cover Commander from Insofta uses software rendering for maximum quality. The program includes a wizard that allows you to create an image in a few quick steps. The process of creating an image is highly customizable yet contains a set of presets for each step for fast and effortless customization. You start with a basic scene template: a box model, a box with a CD, book, manual, DVD-box, a 3D-screenshot, etc. The other wizard steps allow you to select images that you wish to put onto the 3D objects, set up light sources, shadows and reflections. The resulting image can be exported into a range of graphic formats, including PNG with alpha-channel.

Hélas, le nombre de ce type de logiciel est limité. Ils utilisent des textures simples avec un rendu sans perspective. Subscription license includes free upgrades including minor and major versions.

Perpetual license

You may use the version you purchased as long as you need without paying any additional fees.

Basic license includes one year of free upgrades including minor and major versions.

Free - this means that there will be no additional costs incurred for updating to current builds of the product purchased from Insofta Development.

If you buy the Software license which includes "Lifetime upgrades", you can download current versions for free for the life of your product.

Lifetime - this is the useful life of the Software, which is the period of time that Insofta Development continues to support the Software with updates and bug fixes.

Common terms

Each user may install and use one copy of the Software on up to two computers for their sole use, provided only one computer is in use at any given time. This includes home and work, or a laptop and desktop.

A single-user license includes a key for each copy purchased.

The registered user is granted a non-exclusive license to use the Software for any legal purpose. The registered Software may not be rented or leased.

The Software IS DISTRIBUTED "AS IS". NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. YOU USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE AUTHOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR ANY OTHER KIND OF LOSS WHILE USING OR MISUSING THIS SOFTWARE.

You may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program, or any subset of the licensed program, except as provided for in this agreement.
