End User License Agreement
Please read this document carefully before proceeding with the installation. This Agreement licenses the software to you and contains warranty and liability disclaimers. By installing, you are confirming your acceptance of these disclaimers and agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install the software.
1. Definitions:
(a)'Crumbly Head Games' means the author and supplier of the software. (b) 'The Software' means 'The GameBook Authoring Tool' found on www.crumblyheadgames.co.uk and all related updates supplied by Crumbly Head Games. (c) 'The Software Product' means the software, any related documentation, and multimedia content, and all related updates supplied by Crumbly Head Games.
2. License:
This Agreement allows one user to use the Software Product on multiple computers. You may make copies of the Software Product in machine-readable form for backup purposes. You must reproduce on any such copy all copyright notices and any other proprietary legends found on the original.
3. Restrictions:
(a) You shall not modify, change, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software Product and the copyright notice. (b) You shall not loan, rent, lease, sublicense or transfer the Software Product, either in whole or in part, to any third party.
4. Ownership:
The foregoing license gives you limited rights to use theSoftware Product. You do not become the owner of the Software Product. All rights not specifically granted in this Agreement, including without limitation international copyrights, patents, trademarks and other intellectual property rights, are expressly reserved by Crumbly Head Games.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties and of Technical Support:
The Software Product is provided to you free of charge, and on an 'AS IS' basis, without any technical support or warranty of any kind from Crumbly Head Games including, without limitation, a warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you.
6. Limitation of Damages:
In no event will Crumbly Head Games be liable to you for damages, including any consequential, special, incidental, or indirect damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software Product.
7. Termination of the License
Crumbly Head Games reserves the right to terminate this License Agreement if you fail to comply with any of the terms of this License Agreement. Upon such termination, you shall immediately stop using the Software Product.
8. General
(a) Any provision of this Agreement which is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without affecting, impairing or invalidating the remaining provisions hereof. (b) This License Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the UK law.
