A software to manage your private wine cellar and recipe collection. Record your purchases, consumption and other information about your wines, e.g. origin, vintage, price, tasting notes etc. It includes a guest book and event tracking feature which allows you to record details about an event including the menu and wines served. With the recipe book feature, record recipes and pair wines with recipes or ingredients.

The information about your wines and recipes is stored in a sophisticated SQL database, which enables you to access the stored information using tools such as your preferred spreadsheet (e.g. Quattro Pro, MS Excel or OpenOffice), word processor (e.g. WordPerfect, MS Word, or OpenOffice), or Crystal Reports, or Report Manager to create reports or wine cellar labels in exactly the way you choose.

This license document constitutes a legal agreement (“License Agreement”) between yourself (“the Licensee”) either as an individual or as an entity, and Werner F. Bruhin (“the Licensor”) for the use of the software product “The Wine Cellar Book” (“the Software”). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you are deemed to agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of the License Agreement.
1. Ownership of the Software
The Software comprises software, data and documentation and remains the exclusive property of the Licensor and is licensed to you for use solely according to the terms and conditions of the License Agreement. The Licensor retains title to the Software and reserves any rights not expressly granted in the License. The terms and conditions of the License apply to any and all copies of the Software you may make as permitted by the License.
2. License
2.1 The Wine Cellar Book is distributed as shareware and may be distributed to other individuals or entities provided all documentation is included, most particularly the License Agreement. You must, however, take reasonable steps to prevent any third party from copying the software from your computer(s) without your permission.
2.2. You may use the Software for evaluation purposes without any charge for a thirty day trial period. If you wish to continue using the Software after the expiration of this trial period you must register with Werner F. Bruhin at The Wine Cellar Book website (www.thewinecellarbook.com). If at the expiration of the trial period you choose not to register, you must immediately delete any and all copies of the Software from the computer(s) on which it (they) are installed.
2.3 User Groups and Publications may include the Software on CD-ROM collections subject to the terms of this license provided such collections are not sold for profit.
2.4 Information Service Providers may post the Software on an information service which may charge for general connection time but not for the specific right to download the Software, subject to the terms of this license.
2.5 You may not, and may not allow or cause a third party to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, copy, translate or modify the Software in whole or in part, or otherwise use the Software except as provided in this license. You must not run the Software under a debugger or similar tool. 2.6 You may not loan, rent, sell, transfer or sub-license the Software or create derivative works based upon the Software.
2.7 You may not publicise or distribute any registration code algorithms, information, or registration codes used by the Software without the permission of Werner F. Bruhin, nor may you use any registration codes for the Software that have not been purchased from Werner F. Bruhin.
2.8 The registered version of The Wine Cellar Book may be used on multiple computers belonging to the Licensee, and the Licensee may make as many backup copies of the software and/or database as he (she) wishes.
3. Warranties and Liabilities
The Software and any related data and documentation is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. In no event shall the Licensor or any of his affiliates be liable for any consequential, special, incidental or indirect damages of any kind arising out of the delivery, performance or use of the Software, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. While the Software has been developed with great care, it is not possible to warrant that the Software is error free. The Software is not designed or intended to be used in any activity that may cause personal injury, death or any other severe damage or loss.
4. Support
Technical support is available directly from the vendor at no additional charge. When encountering problems, the Licensee must first visit the product website to consult the FAQ page and the support forum to make sure that the question or problem has not previously been addressed. If it has not, the Licensee may forward his query to the e-mail address (support@thewinecellarbook.com), or use the problem reporting dialogue incorporated in the software.
5. Upgrades
The Licensor reserves the right to charge an upgrade fee in the case of major new enhancements or additions to the Software. This major new version will then start a new version line which will use version numbers clearly distinguishable from the old version line. The Licensee is under no obligation to upgrade to the new version line and the Licensor will continue to make available corrections of any errors found in the previous version line and to provide technical support for it as long as is reasonably feasible.
6. Term and Termination
The Licensor reserves the right to revoke your license without prior notice in the event of any violation of this license agreement. Upon termination of this license you must immediately delete any and all copies of the Software from the computer(s) on which it (they) are installed.
